Appreciation, Team Spirit and Challenging Projects
Our culture is one of commitment and team spirit, mutual trust and the strong belief that a professional routine characterized by appreciation and respect enhances our quality of life. For us, culture is expressed in our daily interactions. Because it is the best ideas and our collective experience that count when it comes to convincing our clients.
The more perspectives strategic counsel considers, the better it is. That is why we value and encourage diversity at GAULY. We purposely rely on a team with different personalities because we believe that diversity enriches our work. We treat all people with recognition, appreciation and respect – regardless of their ethnic origin or nationality, gender or gender identity, sexual orientation, social background, age, or religion or ideology. We listen, value different opinions, engage in a cultivated struggle to find the best solution, and are open to new ideas. We believe in living community spirit.
Our employees handle exciting and challenging mandates and work in teams to develop bespoke solutions of the highest quality. At our company, everyone takes responsibility for achieving the best result for the client and ensuring our company’s progress. We promote the development and integration of new colleagues from the very beginning, e.g. with our mentoring and onboarding programs. Team events serve to celebrate successes and further strengthen our team spirit.
We believe that the best ideas and our collective experience are what counts in providing our clients with the best possible experience.

What do you think makes GAULY so special?
For me, GAULY is the perfect mix of interesting projects, the opportunity to make a difference in the company itself, and great colleagues. That last point is especially important to me. Working with such intelligent, likeable, and motivated people is not only very instructive but also incredibly fun.
Why did you choose GAULY?
GAULY was interesting for me mainly because of the exciting and diverse projects. However, the company’s additional commitment to social projects in particular and the fact that I got to know a large part of the team during the application process were the deciding factors. This gave me a first-hand impression of my future coworkers and the company culture.
Why do you like working at GAULY?
The way we work with each other at GAULY is quite exceptional. The crucial thing is always that we achieve the best result for the customer and that the quality is right. This results in very flat hierarchies in our collaboration, and there is huge motivation to develop the best possible solution.
What knowledge and skills do you need in your work as a consultant?
In communications consulting, strategic conceptual thinking and an excellent command of language are both essential. Since we are always working on several projects at any given time, consultants should also be flexible and good at multitasking. But the most important things are empathy and the ability to really listen to the other person.

What do you think makes GAULY so special?**
We provide consultancy at the interface between communications and strategy. This gives us great leverage to get things moving and create real value-add. Each individual contributes their expertise and ideas. No matter at what level.
What does a typical day at work look like for you?
Usually different than expected. Even if there’s already a plan in place for the day, a single email can upset everything. But that’s what makes it exciting. To adapt quickly to new situations and still not lose track of things is what my daily work is all about. In Munich, having lunch as a team is a solid rock amidst all the turbulence.
How much responsibility are you allowed to take on?
A lot. As project manager, my job is to ensure that everything runs smoothly. Besides actually managing the project, this also includes responsibility for the team. But we’re encouraged to take on responsibility beyond the project business as well. In Munich, for example, I’m in charge of selecting our interns. I enjoy that because you get to meet a lot of inspiring people.
What do you like to do besides work?
To provide a balance to working on the computer, I’m often out in nature. Whether on my bike or my inline skates, I’m usually accompanied by our dog. Since I live in the Five Lakes district, swimming, skating, and curling are also very popular in winter.

Her field of activity also included internal and external communications for company-wide strategy projects and change management.
Anna Lena Kleine graduated with a degree in media economics from the Rheinische Fachhochschule in Cologne.

Before joining GAULY, he gained practical experience in various companies in the fields of communications and marketing, including Deutsche Bank.
Why did you choose GAULY?
I became aware of GAULY during my studies and did an internship here. I stayed because I always felt valued. Also, from the beginning, I noticed that the people working here never cling to the status quo but continually strive to develop both the company and themselves.
How much responsibility are you allowed to take on?
As a project manager, I am responsible for several mandates. In these mandates, I am the main contact person for the client and coordinate tasks within the internal project team. Additionally, like all colleagues at GAULY, I take the lead on internal matters that I advance primarily for the company. For me, these are the topics of monitoring tools and AI.
How often do you have to travel for work?
On average, about once a month, although this varies greatly. Many client meetings and workshops can also be effectively conducted virtually.
What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
I enjoy trying out new restaurants or visiting my favorite local spots. And I always need a good book as a counterbalance to the high volume of news consumption during work.
Based in Berlin, Sofie Sharifi advises clients on regulatory projects at the federal, state, and EU level – especially in the area of digital policy. In addition, she supports companies in change management as part of transformation processes.
Before joining GAULY, Sofie worked at various federal agencies, including the German Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture and the German Embassy in Kenya.
She studied politics, administration, and organization for her bachelor’s degree from the University of Potsdam.
Why did you choose GAULY?
After earning my degree, I wanted to do an internship that would show me the private-sector perspective to round out the experience I had gained in the public sector. I came to GAULY through a recommendation from a fellow student. After my internship, I was immediately taken on as an analyst.
What do you think makes GAULY so special?**
Working at GAULY means first and foremost setting very high standards of quality. Because of the diversity of our clients, you get the opportunity to deep-dive into a wide range of topics. Although this can be challenging, it opens up access to many topics that you were previously unfamiliar with or had no access to.
How would you describe the working atmosphere at GAULY?
The team is very friendly and very professional. The project teams strive to find constructive solutions for big workloads and capacity bottlenecks. All in all, our interaction here is characterized by flat hierarchies.
What do you like to do besides work?
Apart from work, I’m passionate about sports and cooking with my friends. I also like to travel a lot.
